Undergraduate Summer Research: A Pathway to Research Frontiers

The Department is committed to enriching students’ learning experience and cultivating the next generation of researchers/scholars. Since 2014-15, the Department has introduced various undergraduate research programmes, offering outstanding students financial support to explore overseas laboratories/institutes or engage in research projects locally under the guidance and supervision of our esteemed academic staff.

These initiatives not only foster research skills but also provide a platform for students to enhance their presentation abilities. Students are given the opportunity to showcase their research findings during seminars, allowing them to refine their communication skills in the process.
